"The Roots" represesnts one of the four elements (earth). Using a dry brush technique, the background is actually emerald green which translates as teal for some reason on this photograph. The tree is copper, bronze, gold and a hint of green. The leaves are silver-green and the flowers are silver-rose. We all have roots in our life and branches that extend from the trunk (our soul). The fluidity and movement of the tree is representitive of how we much we are connected to Gaia (Mother Earth). This particular tree is just beginning to bloom and explore its full potential. The moss that covers the left side of the tree was applied using a stiff fitch brush and pointalism/blending technique after the trunk was dry. Again, these are metallic acrylics.
